Embracing the Rastafarian faith, they formed this iconic harmonic trio that has become a cornerstone of reggae music.

With nearly 50 years of career, Israel Vibration, now led by Wiss, is gearing up to release a new album, Reggae Music Never Dies, in 2025, produced by Aston Barrett Jr., son of the legendary Aston “Familyman” Barrett from The Wailers.

A world tour will kick off in March 2025 with the Roots Radics, including a stop in France. Israel Vibration remains a global reggae reference, embodying the history and soul of the genre through powerful and timeless performances.

Steel Alive presents Under The Big Top, a steppers-flavored EP, tailor-made for live sessions. The EP is anticipated by its single featuring Charlie P, Should Pass Thru. With this project, the French group delves into the heart of the sound system dance, an area they explored during their last tour.

As usual for Steel Alive, the accordion occupies a special place in the arrangement, exploring different sounds. Another familiar characteristic, evident in this EP, is connections with other artists: three of the five tracks are collaborations.

Fango, a rookie artist from Lyon, features on Maximum Circus. Its circus theme is very familiar to Steel Alive (and the “the big top” is a well known image to fans of dances and festivals). Also linked to the circus is Should Pass Thru, with English MC Charlie P, whose unmistakable voice sets the bar very high on the EP’s first single. Firewalking contains the last guest feature of the EP, from Khoe-Wa. Born from his visit to Reunion Island, this track propels us to the Indian Ocean with its psychedelic sitar, combined with Steel Alive’s accordion.

This EP is the result of a lengthy collaboration between Steel Alive and dub pioneer Pilah (Dub Addict, Kaly Live Dub) in production, mixing and mastering. With a striking cover designed by Jérémy Magniez, the energy of this work demands that it be heard live.

Under The Big Top is available on digital platforms.

When DAWA HIFI and ROOTS RAID, both pioneers of Dub in France, collaborate, it gives rise to “RED LIGHT,” a powerful album released on November 28th via ODG Prod.

They unveil eight collaborative tracks, reflecting 20 years of friendship, joint creations, and musical explorations.

Throughout the album, listeners are immersed in a variety of sonic landscapes—from groovy rhythms reminiscent of Jamaican reggae/dub to the ethereal, hypnotic pulse of bass, drums, and melodies—while also flirting with the boundaries of Congolese rumba and electro dub.

The RED LIGHT project is a tribute to Dub and its diversity.
Live, RED LIGHT brings together DAWA HIFI (with Valentin on live mixing and machines), Natty Bass from ROOTS RAID (on bass and Korg MS-10), and Bongo Ben (on percussion and mic entertainment). It’s a unique project crafted for both live performances and sound system sessions.

The fusion of their distinct musical identities—an undeniable strength on record—translates into a high-energy live show whenever the trio comes together.

With vintage analog synths, organic instruments, and a modern twist on the collective’s signature dub mix, this collaboration merges styles and promises electrifying nights!
