French Reggae’s flagship band, Broussaï has been enflamming the stages of Europe and beyond for nearly 20 years (Canada, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Jamaica, Polynesia…). The group’s subtle lyrics, dynamic instrumentals and emotional melodies have won them over.

An adept of the “Do it yourself” approach, Broussaï’s musicians have naturally built their adventure on the path of independence and self-production. And even though several studio albums in their discography were voted “Best French Album” at the Victoires du Reggae awards in 2010, 2013 and 2016, Broussaï remains above all a live band. Very accessible, the complicity with the audience mixed with an explosive show is their trademark. The fervor that emanates from their performance cannot leave indifférent.

After their last album, which focused particularly on ecology, Broussaï will be releasing “Solidaires” in April 2023, a committed new chapter in their career on the theme of humanism. In today’s sombre context of climate upheaval, mass migration, pandemics and war, the band wants to highlight the hope of awareness and the need to unite to face up to these crucial issues.

From their streetwise beginnings to the biggest festivals, the band has established itself as one of France’s most talked-about acts. With nearly 1,000 dates to their credit, Broussaï’s live shows exude a contagious, infectious energy!

Raspigaous is a French reggae/ska band formed in 1997 in the Panier neighborhood of Marseille. The band quickly stood out from the local scene with their contagious choruses (such as Sers le Jaune, Vitrolles, Fumo, Zappe) and began a series of concerts. In 1999, after a nationwide tour, they released their first album Chaud Time, which sold over 30,000 copies, marking the start of their growing success. The band continued to perform at concerts and festivals, and in 2002, they released their second album Chiens des quais, which solidified their ability to compose major hits, including Le Panier, Contrôle d’identité, and Les leaders du monde.

Raspigaous is a festive and socially engaged group, with lyrics written by Lionel LEO Achenza, the band’s leader. Their songs portray social realities with humor, irony, and simplicity.

In 2005, they released Mauvaise Herbe, featuring equally addictive tracks like L’arapède, Chars & Soldats, and Bienvenue. This was followed by a national tour that solidified Raspigaous’ name across France. After an 8-year hiatus, Lionel LEO Achenza released a 4-track EP Haut & Fort with the powerful song 7 milliards et des poussières, recorded in Marseille.

In 2019, the band entered Studio K (13) to record Nouvel R, an album infused with groove and conscious lyrics.

In 2023, Raspigaous released their album 25 ans de live, a compilation of the band’s greatest hits in live versions.

In 2025, they will be back on stage for a final tour to celebrate their career.

Tomawok has a long artistic history. First a member of the ska-fusion band Zetlaskars, signed in 2003 to the label Crash Disques, then the hardcore rap group Urban Poizon in 2004, and finally, he joined the Parisian group Grime Sin (grime/drum’n’bass) in 2007 alongside Mesh M18 and Titine Boy. In parallel, the project TOMAWOK had been brewing in his mind for a while, and in 2007, he decided to fully dedicate himself to it.

As a songwriter, composer, and performer, Tomawok adapts to all types of riddims ranging from 70 to 180 BPM. His carefully crafted lyrics, rich rhymes, articulated words, and conscious messages, combined with his unmatched and precise delivery, make him an unmissable artist. The stage is his outlet, like a lion unleashed in an arena, electrified and energized by the symbiotic connection with his audience. Tomawok has also performed over 1300 concerts, both with the One Shot Band and in DJ sets, across the globe: France, China, Jamaica, Mali, Ivory Coast, Congo, India, Philippines, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Lebanon, Mexico, Georgia, Germany, Réunion Island.

After dedicating himself in 2020 to creating and recording a new 12-track album, Road to Wisdom, set to be released in May 2022, Tomawok will surprise with a more conscious, sensitive, mature, and intimate approach, while still keeping the crowds dancing. The album’s themes have expanded, with the artist addressing topics such as climate change, animal rights, the joy of cooking, and his views on society, occasionally with a touch of humor.

Tomawok has chosen to collaborate, as always, with legends of Jamaican music, such as Capleton on the track Bun Dem Down and Chezidek on Me Kitchen, alongside icons of the French and Réunionnais scenes like Mesh and Mc Duc. With the same commitment to excellence and quality, the beat/riddim makers are French duo D&H and Polish producer Dreadsquad. The album was mainly recorded at Irie Ites Studio by Judi-k, with features recorded in Kingston at Capleton’s studio and in St. Mary with Chezidek. The album was mixed by D&H and then mastered by Scratch in Trinidad and Tobago.

On stage, his music unites the audience, sharing smiles, dance moves, and joy in unison, all under the captivating rhythm of his guitar. He is accompanied by his musicians, with whom he shares his motto: “Humility and Simplicity are the way of life.” Lidiop is a baye fall, and his way of life is defined by respect, love, and solidarity beyond religious, racial, sexist, and ideological divides.

Originally from Australia, and coming from a rock background, she didn’t initially have all the strings to charm this kind of audience. And yet, in no time at all, she became the darling of Jamaican studios: her imposing voice contrasts with her fragile appearance.

A rare pearl that’s a must-listen, as it’s hard to find these days such sensitivity and finesse on such powerful riddims. Since her debut with Australian band Blue King Brown, NATTALI RIZE has toured Europe’s finest world stages (Summerjam, Germany’s biggest reggae festival, PALEO in Switzerland…), playing hits like “Rebel Love” (over 1 million views on Youtube).

She is enjoying tremendous success in the United States, where she is currently performing on some thirty dates, including the highly prestigious California Roots in Monterey, California. The young Australian is making a big impression and has definitely carved out a place for herself in the sometimes macho and violent world of reggae.

It’s a daily fight to rise above overly clichéd lyrics and assert a committed message.

Abso, an artist from the West of France, is known for his sharp flow, unique voice, and crossover style blending reggae, dub, hip hop, and vapor.

In 2020, under the name Absollem, he won the “Playground Contest” organized by Fatbabs, the beatmaker of Naâman, which opened doors to major venues and festivals, including the Olympia, No Logo BZH, Sun Ska, and Delta Festival.

In 2023, his career took on a European dimension, with over thirty dates across Italy, Belgium, and Switzerland.

In 2024, he focused on creating his first album, “Noisy Bag,” which he self-produces. The album features eight tracks, seven in English and one in French, blending various musical styles from urban culture. He collaborated with talented beatmakers from different styles and universes, allowing him to explore diverse sounds and translate the many ideas and emotions that swirl in his creative mind into music.

He collaborated with talented beatmakers from different styles and universes, allowing him to explore diverse sounds and translate the many ideas and emotions that swirl in his creative mind into music.

The recordings took place at Judi-K’s (Old Capital Studio), who also mixed five of the eight tracks produced by Matka, Bearsound, and Ika Dub. The mixes for the other three tracks were entrusted to Nin’s (Ohm Sound) on his own productions. The mastering was handled by Fédé (Krak in Dub).

These collaborations resulted in striking contrasts of originality, where attitudes, styles, and techniques collide, making for an album that aims to be both complete and precisely vague. “Noisy Bag” is an accomplishment for Abso in his perpetual quest for creativity.
