Lulled from his earliest childhood by the richness of traditional and contemporary African music, Lidiop was born into the cultural and folkloric atmosphere of his native Senegal. Lidiop, his stage name, is a multi-faceted musician, songwriter and performer, mixing reggae, dancehall, rnb, afro and pop.
On stage, his music unites the audience, sharing smiles, dance moves, and joy in unison, all under the captivating rhythm of his guitar. He is accompanied by his musicians, with whom he shares his motto: “Humility and Simplicity are the way of life.” Lidiop is a baye fall, and his way of life is defined by respect, love, and solidarity beyond religious, racial, sexist, and ideological divides.
